Title: My 4-door progress
Post by: ColeMonkey on August 05, 2008 9:55 pm: haven't posted anything on my car yet so I thought now was a good time too! This is my first build so if you have and good advice or suggestions, that would be awesome!

When I got my frame the horns were chopped off...

Attempted to open the drivers side doors... The back one opens but the front one the hinges are pretty rusted together.

For the rear we just got the 4-link... We are gonna put coil-overs in the rear.

I think your 4 link/coilover rear is a good idea.

Ditto. Don't worry about it though- just work on the bodywork until you're almost burned out on it, then stop for a while- looks like you'll have some work ahead of you! Nice job on the frame so far- split bones will be cool!

I'm gonna be putting the 305 V8 I got from my uncle in it for now.

And ya, the body needs a lot of work... But I'm up for the challenge.

Post by: ColeMonkey on May 23, 2009 6:06 pm: We picked up some Super Clean from O'reillys. That and a wire brush and pressure washer. LOTS of scrubbing haha. I'm glad thats over.

I agree with that. The best I have found for cleaning engines is oven cleaner.

Post by: ColeMonkey on August 16, 2009 5:00 am: Its goin very good! We just got a new edelbrock intake and carb setup to replace that crappy quadra jet, if anyone wants it make an offer! Its very very close to done, a little bodywork left, and paint basically. If the weather turns out nice we might bring her to St. Cloud car show tomorrow.
