Hey everyone its this Weekend!! Come on out for a great time. Make sure you are at the rest area in Moorhead by 9:00 am ( a little earlier wouldn't hurt)
-
anyone thrashing to get a car done for this weekend? besides me.
-
I thrashed over my really long weekend on lot's of vehicles, the '57 being one of them, but I needed more carb parts so didn't get it rebuilt couldn't find them in Jamestown. Hopefully Sunday I'll get it going and bring it back to Fargo to drive it to the drags.
Seems like every plan for the car has been delayed, the wide whites for sale on here, is the wrong number, my bag parts didn't come in until today, my carb rebuild kit didn't have a part I needed for '57 carb, the float had a hole in it, I thought I had a pair of '57 plates for it but turns out I had two seperate '57 plates, my powder coat hook up, who I was gonna have sandblast and powder coat my wheels, he lost his job because the place he works closed down, the 4 barrel intake I found at my farm i've since found out that after you adapt a late model carb to it it doesn't flow any better than a 2 barrel.
-
I, I thought I had a pair of '57 plates for it but turns out I had two seperate '57 plates,.
You only need one YOM plate. Take the best one with you when you go to register and make sure it has at least ( I think ) 5 digets.
-
If ya can't bring your 57 just bring your daily, we need an event photographer. :)

GAH I told her that, I said, "Well you only need to run one plate anyways" and she told me you needed two.
When I register the '49 in my name I'm going to fight it because I only have the one '49 plate. I just gave in and ordered a personalized plate. NTIBLNG

Ya I'll be there, my buddy from Bismarck might be coming and we'll take his pickup.
If he can't come, if someone else doesn't have a car to take, maybe drive my pickup so I can get some rolling shots.
-
i wont be making the run, i gotta work...but i will be at the festivities for sure...with the bike for once!!!
-

Thank you to all that attended the Suedes Hot Rod Confidential. I hope everyone had a great time. Also thanks to all the Suedes members for their contributions and effort they put into the event.
If you have any pics of the event that you would like to share post em here.

Some years only had one plate therefore don't look for two for those years.
The list I have is as follows.
1911 to 1943 were pairs. Singles from 44-47, pairs from 48-50 and then back to singles for 51-57. Pairs after that. The number has to be larger than 10,000. This information I received from the Motor Vehicle Dept.
I would like the statute that says I only need to run one plate. I only have one on a couple of the cars and am sure someday I will be stopped for that.

tom, you couldn't have drank too much beer---you were up and gone at what? 6:30 AM?
-
Yeah, it was something like that. I had filled gas and left West Fargo a little after 7 AM. I was hopeing to get going before the wind got stupid again. It was blowing but not as bad as Sat.
As for the beer I know enough not to drink to get sick, but I was getting close. :drunken:

This sign would be so much better if it was made of rusty tin or old barn wood and painted, and with bullet holes in them. Give it more of a redneck ambiance.
