Here's what I went down to the cities to pick up. Its VERY rusty, but the stuff I'm lookin for is salvagable for the Stude. Its a '52 Hardtop. First year for it. Now let the work commence, right? We'll see how soon...

Excellent!! The Stude is gonna look pretty tight with a hard top.....a chopped hard top?
-
Yep that is going to look good on there.
I think we need a photoshop of the plans.
-
It's got the Minn. car look. One to many winters on the salt.
Nice trailor. :P
-
Big job, but will make a sweet Studie! :D
Have at it.

Nice Pussy in the 2nd photo.

that will be rad. how much smaller is that greenhouse compared to yours? how ya gona do it puit it on stock hight then chop it or just chop it. the doors and that rear tirm looks good. how are the outer two small parts of the rear window?
-
There is a pretty nice one of those ('52 2dr hardtop) in a junkyard near blanchard, ND. Its complete, and looks pretty solid, but I didn't look real close.
-
Wheres the Sawsall?
-
It is the same body essentially as mine, so the measurements should be pretty close. I'm planning on cutting the roof off about 3-4 inches below the windows and package tray. Once it is open, I can get a better idea of how to cut the roof off the sedan. I figured I can also use alot of the sedan roof for patch panels for the chop, etc.

so whens the chop party?

Funny you mentioned that, I was just yesterday drooling over that thing in R&C. I think mine will be more heavy chop in the rear tho. If you look at a profile shot of the Stude, the whole thing tapers to the back. gotta try and mimic that in the roof.
