Sounds like what I had to do last time.  That's kinda why I wanted the ramps, but I might be able to get the rear axle up on jack stands.I wonder if it would pay to fill it with silicone like the one guy suggested...

I'm sure lowering my like I did didn't help things, but the shaft hitting the tunnel did the brunt of the damage I'm sure.  The rubber still looks good on mine from what I can see.
