anyone have a used tank laying around i could buy?  for c02 or c25.  new ones are way to expensive for me at the moment.  dont really care about size, small ones are fine.

get one from HF and fill it with a connector off your buds big tank, I have a equalizer hose made of hyd hose, gauge and 2 male fittings that go into tank valve, be carefull doing it ,    caution high pressure!!!

If you want it for long term, check the ten year lease. It's a lot more money up front but comes out to penneys a day.

they have 20 pounders at fleet farm for around 60

Think mine was $100 for a 5 year lease from air gas.  About $45 to fill it.  Its not really worth owning your own tank as most shops charge $20/yr to keep the inspection up to date.
