Most of you know I was at the roadster show and since I suck at pic I though I would post a link that has a shit pot of pic from the event. I spent about 7 hr on Friday and about 5 hr on Sat. this was after lookin at a privite collection of over 300 cars. I hate to have to admit it but I told Char on Sat night I was cared out. The only event I had planed to go to that we didn't go to was the Long Beach Swap because the weather didn't sound good.

Sounds like a fun trip.  I'm sure the weather was better.

What private collection did you get to see?

Jay Lenos and Art Astor. Art is 84 years old and they are looking for an investor or the cars will go up for auction,so Jake here's your chance.

Tom, was that the REAL Ala Kart, or the one Howdy cloned?

That car is one of my all time favorite show cars.

My quess is it's the original one, looks like a early Hemi in it.

The Howdy Clone is in the basement of the Peterson Museum ( the mother fuckers would not let us down there ). This is the real Ala Kart. They displayed it the same as the had in 1958 ( in think that was the date ) with jack stands covered in tinfoil, even having a big picture showing how it was displayed back in the day. People walked by and would comment negatively on the tinfoil, dummies didn't get it!!!

They don't let you take pics at Leno's and post them on the internet. This is one we could take.

So did you find a retirement job in Cali.?

By your attire it looks like it was a little chilly there too.

Hey - the tin foil might start a new trend again..... 8)

No I wouldn't move there, to dam many people. And what I would get for my place here wouldn't buy squat out there.

Yeah it wasn't sunny CA when we were there, of course it was warmer than here!!

Me with Jimmy White

Thats cool you went out there! Leno's garage looked like one of the highlights.
Does he just have aluminum fuel injected big blocks laying around for kicks? I suppose an aluminum Big Block for him is like us going down to mac's to buy a 7/16 bolt.
