So we were talking around the shop, and we're wondering if anyone else was tired of getting hosed on the price of ladder bars. SoCals' are $292.99 for JUST the bars! We were thinking of doing up a kit that would include the axle brackets, rod ends, and ladder bars. We're considering making to length to order. You'd take a measurement between your axle centerline and where your crossmember will be and provide that at the time of order. Then we build your ladderbars and send you out the kit. I could even offer them in chromoly for those that would want the lighter weight. Opinions?

Kevin........You asked so I'll give mine.
I'm a cheep bastard and make my own. Also motor, shock ect. mounts and brackets. Very seldom do I buy that sort of hardware.
I would think there would be a market for it, especially if you offer custom lengths.

I agree with Tom and also think there would definitely be a market for them. For my '40, I am going to have come up with some sort of ladder bar set up but haven't gotten close enough to set it up. I haven't even thought about buying a kit, basically because of the prices. If there was a good kit at a reasonable price, I would sure look into it.

as long as they woulf be competitive with the Pete and Jakes Kit, i think youd have a market. thats the most common used one that ive seen anyways.
