Is back and is very good. It blows the doors off OSR and CKD. But we will see what the next issue is like. BTW you can get it at Fleet Farm.
-
You can also get it at EVERY gas station in Wisconsin! haha
-
ive been keeping my eyes open for it but havnt seen it, never thought to check fleet farm!
-
Yeah, I picked mine up last week and was very impressed, especially for a guy who quit reading Hot Rod about 10 years ago....Weed
-
most stop n go's have it too- just picked up my copy at the one on university and 19th. good mag! I hope it ends up being $.75 an issue for subscribers like hot rod is....
-
I think I still have a couple copies of issue #1.
-
just picked it up, not too bad! better than some of the alternatives for sure! traditional rod & kustom is still my favorite though.
too bad all these magazines are so damn expensive
-
got mein at wally world, what no discount???was not even in computer yet would be nice to get a cheep subscription though
-
all in all i liked it some of it kinda seemed like a pitch peice for the suits but thats what spiecals are for. i do hope it gets picked up quarterly or maybe bimonthly

There were discounts to be had at Fleet Farm but I didn't pay attention to what it was.
-
i bought mine at the fleet gas station. they didnt have any inside. how many times a year is it supposed to be out? i couldnt find anything that said.
-
Right now they are planning on quarterly. If you look at the cover it says "Spring 08". If it takes off they want to go to bi-monthly.
-
They did a nice job on the mag. I really like the old HR pics they are able to dig into. When I look at that two page '59 Oakland Roadster show pic, I just want to slip into the picture and look at the cars. Neat. I'd like to see more of many of the cars in that pic, especially the Vickie roadster.

It seems $7 is alot for a mag, so I stole Aarons' copy.
-
Hugo's in EGF also is carrying it. Good magazine and collection of articles, even though the flat motor article was copied directly out of the November 2005 issue of Hot Rod Magazine (Oddly, The only one I have bought in the last 2 years).

Really.....that does suck.
-
the fact that its got the Hot Rod crew behind it makes me like it alot more. I read Hot Rod quite a bit, and their Writing skill and ability makes it alot more Credible. Frieberger is a good writer/Editor. The layout is alot better than the SHIT that OSR and CKD is now, and isnt full of the bullshit Scene stuff that the others are obscessed with. Im in it for the cars and Events. Not much else.

Exactly!!! :D
Hot Rod has been sending me subscription incentives for years. Well they finally got down to my price range, 50 cents an issue for 3 years delivered to my door. I sent them a check and got two issue so far, I'll get around to lookin' at them when I finish my Rodders Journal.
-
how about that rebel rodz? that has to be the worst magazine ive ever seen. I feel dumber having bought it. I really hope they dont last.
-
Same thing happend to me with Rebel Rodz........... I knew I should not buy it but gave in thinking there is now way someone would put out another osr........WRONG.
-
I bought one issue too. I flipped through it, saw the nasty pinup model, then tore it up for my stepmom's cat to use in her litter box.
-
I haven't even seen it. Damn.
-
I haven't even seen it. Damn.
dont waste your money. i will let you see mine
-
New issue is out, got it while getting groceries today at Hornbachers.
-
I saw it the other day at Stop-n-go. I flipped through it and then through TRC and then looked at the price tags. I walked out with TRC.
-
I paged through it the other day also. Left without it. I think they blew their wad on the first issue....disappointed with the second.
-
the feature on beetlejuice was good but on the cover they called a sbc a flatie and the cad tech was very car craft. if there is a third ill leave it with osr and ckd
-
I picked up the new July issue this afternoon. Good stuff! This one is packed full.
Blaire speed shop '55 Chev, '25 T Roadster from the 50s/60s rebuilt, and quite a few pages on Vern Tardel's ranch.
Worth the buy this time. :)

thanks for the heads up, I guess I will give it one more chance.
