Title: Parts for Model A project...
Post by: pinstriper40 on October 03, 2007 11:59 pm
Anyone have a set of '40-'48 Ford spindles, hubs, brakes, backing plates for sale?  I also need: pair of 16"x5" Ford rims, SpeedGrip motorcyle tires(2), Scabby but mountable 16x7.50s (2).  I need all of this stuff for my A coupe.  if you don't want to sell it to me you could borrow it to me and then forget about it.    Check out my coupe in the project reports section!

Still need a pair of 7.50x16 tires, and if anyone's got 'em lyin' around, a pair of 6.00 or 5.50 x 16 tires.  I really want to get going on my chassis, and I kinda need tires, but unfortunately I was born the son of a poor black man.

actually, if we can borrow the wheels and tires for mockup, we'd be appreciative. Anything that would have the same height tires. On MLK day we're gonna set body on frame on axles and check "the look" just need wheels and tires. Please anybody?

the type that bolt to the same flange as the brake backing plate would be good. I don't know if short trailing arms would reach all the way up to where the torque tube pivots, but we'll have to measure. How long are longs and how short are shorts?

I'll take mr. eyeball's for $60...and his shackles.  I can use those on the rear.  Anyone have a '30-'31 visor?  how 'bout a 28-29 windshield frame?  I ordered my spring today...and a set of copper head gaskets.  I need some of those flat-top spring perches too...I should add those on to my order...just using my tax return like uncle sam wants me to....The sooner I get this stuff....the sooner I'll have it.  Oh, and the sooner the coupe will get done!
