Howdy, I have a pcv question. I made three highly artistic diagrams to show what im talking about .
#1, This is how I have it now, and I dont think it will work cause I dont have a breather.
#2, I Could get a breather oil cap, and leave the same 2 pcv setup. Idk why, but I thought I might as well run 2 of them since I had them on hand. Idk if this will make it work the same, or work worse.
#3, I could have one pcv on one side, and a breather on the other.
What do you think?

I would get some valve covers that don't have the PCV in it. Or just get some breathers for the covers. PCV is emissions crap, hot rods don't need that stuff.

The engine has to 'breathe' some how. If there is no PCV, it needs a breather tube like the 55-62(?) SBC. The PCV is just to filter it so it doesn't blow oil all over the under side of the car. Go with #2. You need some sort of breather and at least one relief (PCV) valve. Two will work since you have them.

I thought 3 would be good.

You only need once PCV valve in one Cover, it breathes for the whole motor, no need for the crossover between 2 valve covers, its all connected via the Lifter valley anyways...

ok thanks for the answers guys. I have another question already though
Anyone know where I can find a breather cap that has a 3/4" neck that is the push-in (into a rubber grommet) type? I should probably call MN hotrod hardware.

yeah I think he has em at a good price too cheaper than speedway if i remember right.
