Title: intro
Post by: J'st_Wandering on March 25, 2007 4:02 pm
Hi, I have been a lurker here for a long time but here is an intro.

I am in south central North Dakota, by the big town of Kulm.  Am interested in traditional hot rod and custom stuff but have a range of cars from stock to newer custom.  The stock stuff is '29 roadster and '59 Chrysler.  Newer custom is '69 Impala.  Others in between is '28 AV-8 sedan which I am rebuilding the motor on now and '50 Merc that I have been working on forever.  Have been side tracked by everything including now fixing up a Spartan travel trailer.

I am married with kids and we try to hit a few rod runs each year but find the kids' activities to come first.  Not much else to say but I will try to post a few pictures of cars.  Do not have much for pictures on the computer right now but here are a couple.

Nice stuff. Good to see you introduce yourself finally! :) I know I've seen your Impala at some runs before.

I just went through my pictures again and cannot find one.  The computer took a dump in January an I reloaded a bunch of pictures but must not have found everything yet.  The car is bone stock.  Bought it from an older gentleman back a few years.  He did the restoration and needed to sell because of his health.  It is nothing fancy.  We bought it to putt around with on Sunday afternoons and works well for that.  Fun car.  The motor is a little weak, I think a bad valve.  Don't want to pull it apart until I get the sedan back together, which is the one I am working on now.  Don't want too many dead cars laying around.

Thanks everyone for the comments.

It has only taken me a couple of years to do the intro.  I will post a couple more pictures of the other two running cars when they are running again.

Thanks again for the welcome.
