I have used both Krylon and Walmart. Both hold up about the same and are easy to match if you chip them up. You need a few more coats of Walmat but at .96 per can you can't beat it. I may use fleet farm tractor paint sprayed with a gun on the 32.

On my sedan after the first season on the road I used One Shot and a bush to do the axle and wishbones to get it ready for the car show. That shit really flows out nice.

If you are able to use a spray gun on it....The economy line of PPG - Omni, now has their epoxy primer in a satin black.  Similar to the old DP.

Epoxy primer will fade out after time and some degreasers will stain it.  It is all about the look you want though. If durability is not an issue I say why not.
