Title: Huge soft plugs
Post by: Tom on December 14, 2006 8:12 pm
Ok boys put on you thinkin caps. Lookin for some thing that resembles a soft plug with out the shoulder or lip, you know it has a slight curve. It needs to be 9"  in diameter and about 1/8 of an inch thick and made out of metal. Yes it has to do with my wheel fetish.

Tom,
How about a disc from a plow? They might be a bit thick tho.....

I've used them for a base for a bench grinder stand before.

Yes, I know what you were thinking and thanks for your input. But it's to thick and I believe they are tempered and would be hard to cut down or drill.

Walked through Wallmart last night, went through house ware, sports,  auto, and toys but didn't find anything that would work. Gona hit Menards next.

and Ross????????

find some old schwanns ice cream cans or metal cans of that nature.

buy some cymbals from a drum set and you'll make beautiful music driving down the road.

Got some Plymouth Artillery wheels that I need to fit hub caps to. So I need to make adapters, and that is what I'm going to use the bottom of the containers for.
