Title: Reasonably priced exhaust?
Post by: Eyeball on October 27, 2006 5:53 pm
Is it possible to find? I just got off the phone with two shops to price out duals for my money pit '64 F100. One wants $380.00 bux and the other was $360.00. I think I am going to trailer it out the farm and forget about it for a while.

Dave Barth in Bismarck gives pretty good deals and does pretty nice work.  Not sure if you really want to haul it to Bis though.

Are you going all the way to the back or just behind the cab??

If you want to haul it a short distance, check out Brian at Big John's Carpro in Wahp.  He does outstanding work for reasonable. I've had him do a few and he does all of Boardman's cars.  His #701-642-5194...ask for Brian.

I had Brian do the exhaust on my pickup. He charged me $70 for installing packs and tips (I provided) and running aluminized pipe from the packs back. That was 8 years ago and never did have anything fail on it. Highly recommend.

Have you thought about doing it yourself? You can buy J and U bends. I'm sure you possess the skill to do it. I did my '39 coupe in stainless for around 500 bucks and a weekend of work. It was kinda fun.

I don't want to. Plus i don't have a header pipe so it needs to be flanged.

I had exhaust done this summer by Valley Radiator in Valley City.  It was full exhaust from front to back, duals with no mufflers in a Model A and he did it for $150.  Since I didn't go with any mufflers it did save a few bucks.  I have gone to him to fix a few radiators in the past and he started doing exhausts this past summer.  Neal
