For Sale / Y-Block Sale
« on: December 01, 2008 4:33 PM »
I need to get these out of the shop:
(1) '54 239ci complete motor with 96,000mi. Ran when pulled, but spun bearing. Includes 2bbl carb, intake, manifolds with crossover tube.
(1) '55 or '56 272ci complete motor. Was supposed to run when I got it, I cant get it to turn over. This is also pretty complete minus carb with quick and dirty paint job. This is bolted to a good 2speed Ford-0-Matic trans.

Also included is a pair of dual exhaust manifolds (not rams horn style) with gaskets.

I cannot ship these, obviously. $150 for everything. Come and get them. 2 miles off of I-94 about 45 min East of Fargo, ND.

General Discussion / Cloning drawn cars
« on: October 29, 2008 6:57 PM »
Theres a great thread on the HAMB right now from OOMACK that says the Sonny LaRogs "Pearl of ShangRiLa" car was found. This thing was a creation of Robert Williams mind and brush only. The Devil with a Hammer and Hell with a Torch poster also has a kustom Merc that was inspired by an actual car and the gorgeous taildraggin '36 that most of us have gotten to see get put together by the talented Randy Gribble. Now: what non-existant car (out of art) would you want to clone or at least see get cloned?
I've always liked this one. 'Course, it IS a Weesner.

General Discussion / I got robbed.
« on: June 16, 2008 3:12 PM »
Yep, as most of you know, I left my blazer at Mom and dads for the last week after bringing the Studebaker parts car home. Well, pulled it out of the driveway yesterday only to find out that someone had stolen my rear license plate. Turns out, there were several in the neighborhood to get stolen. Now its going to cost me $40 to replace the plates. Have to buy both new ones, the officer confiscated my front one.
I guess they are having problems with stolen plates being put on cars to steal gas from the stations. So beware.
Excuse me, I have to go load my gun.

General Discussion / My rusty score
« on: June 10, 2008 7:06 PM »
Here's what I went down to the cities to pick up. Its VERY rusty, but the stuff I'm lookin for is salvagable for the Stude. Its a '52 Hardtop. First year for it. Now let the work commence, right? We'll see how soon...
