UPDATE: 01/21/2005Hello Everyone. Here is a quick update.There are only 2 months until VLV. Many people are calling and emailing me asking about registration. There is no registration. Simply show up with your pre-'63 nostalgic rod or traditional kustom and park. Parking is done on a first come first served basis. There is no sideways parking or reserving spaces for other people. The number of people coming to this VLV has already passed last years totals, so we are very close to selling out. So if you were going to pay for your wristband on arrival at VLV, get there early or you may be out of luck. Here are a few bits on info on this VLV: CAR SHOW NEWSThe legendary VLV Car Show promises to be better than ever. Our special guests this year are Bo Hopkins and Candy Clark from the movie ‘American Graffitti’. Legendary car builder George Barris is bringing another of his famous movie cars, Greased Lightning. FOREVER PLAIDThe Gold Coast showroom is currently hosting the Broadway production, Forever Plaid. Although this show will be closed during VLV, for those of you getting in early or staying on after VLV, we have good news for you. There will be performances on Wednesday March 23rd and Monday March 28th. Advance tickets can be bought from the Gold Coast box office on 702-251-3574 or Toll Free 1-888-402-6278 Box Office Hours: Daily 10am - 10 pm VLV 2006Here are the dates for VLV9 in 2006 – April 13th – 16th 2006. While you are at VLV this year, if you book your wristbands you will receive a FREE VLV CD. You can choose from VLV 4, 5, 6 or 7 CD’s. But this offer is only for those of you who book your VLV9 passes while at VLV8. To get this, please go to our check in on the Sunday between 2pm and 8pm. BAND NEWSDue to illness, the following 2 acts are unable to appear at VLV8: Alton & Jimmy, The Planet Rockers. We wish them a speedy recovery. VLV MERCHANDISEThis year we will have the broadest range of VLV merchandise ever, but quantities are limited on all items, especially the Tiki Mugs. Other items include ashtrays, license plate frames, coffee mugs, Zippo lighters, temporary tattoos and of course a full range of shirts. The VLV merchandise booth will open at 6pm on the Thursday so to ensure that you get what you want, we suggest buying early. VLV VENDORSThere is an unbelievable range of vendors at this years VLV. There are two main areas: the Arizona Room (by the ballroom) and The California Rooms (these are located above the buffet). Hopefully you will find some great buys. Finally, if you have already booked and not received your booking receipt, please email me at tom@vivalasvegas.net and I will send you a new receipt.
