this should probably be in the paint n primer section, but oh well.

Where in Fargo would you reccomend for powder coating?  Im debating having a motorsickle frame done.  Just black, nothing fancy.

and how clean do I need the frame before bringing it to them?

thanks guys

Depends on what it is. If it has rust on it have it blasted, if it has paint on it they should be able to remove it chemically at the coater.

Neal's Industrial Paint in West Fargo seems to do good work.  I would stay away from Powder Coat Professionals in Fargo.
Most places will want it sandblasted to ensure its clean and rust free.  Any grease, dirt, etc can causing outgasing of the powder coat.  Any rust thats left behind will eventually cause the powder coat to bubble.
Stuff thats larger like frames, rearends, etc you may want to consider a good epoxy paint as it is a lot less picky.
